Disneyworld

I am not big on large crowds & long lines. For this reason, I'm not even a fan of concerts or music festivals, but I had to visit Disneyworld (the meca of crowds & long lines). So, here's what I learned to help you maximize your time.

I live in California and have been to Disneyland in Anaheim more times than I can count, but this was my first time at Disneyworld in Orlando and WOOOOOW!

This is definitely the kind of place you want to spend several days at. Yes, it can be done in 1 day, but you would have to really plan out a schedule of what you want to see & make peace with the fact that there are many things you will miss.

We only had 1 day and used it to see 2 of the 4 parks. Between commuting between parks and the time lost on waiting in lines it didn't seem possible to do more than that.

Where to stay:
Stay on a resort that is on the property. Disney has trams that will pick you up & drop you off at the park.

How to get around:
Disney has buses that pickup/drop off at each park. Unlike Disneyland & California adventure in California the parks at Disneyworld are not walking distance. They are a minimum of 20 mins drive from each other.

How many days needed:
To maximize, 1 day/per park. If you're short on time, do 2 parks per day.

Fast passes:
You can only book up to 3 fast passes per group for 1 park per day. You can reserve them 1 day in advance, but you need your ticket number.
We used ours at the Magic Kingdom. We went to the Animal Kingdom for the first portion of the day & scheduled our rides at the Magic Kingdom for the evening. We saved so much time not waiting in line by doing that. (FYI- they are first come first serve & not available for purchase.)

Park details for each of the 4 parks at Disneyworld:

The Magic Kingdom features all the classic Disney stuff and it’s where you will find the enchanted castle.

Epcot is home to a world showcase consisting of 11 pavilions representing countries from around the world. It is also where the Frozen Ever After attraction is. Mainly has attractions with a few rides.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios also mostly attractions including Toy Story.

Animal Kingdom feels like a zoo except that the animals roam free through a safari like exhibit that you can take rides through. It’s a nice experience, but the best thing they offer is Pandora!

Favorite activities:
Pandora!!! Best interactive CGI experience I've ever done! And the boat tour is worth going on. It's really cool to see. Honestly, these 2 rides made it all worth it! They are a MUST!!!
For me, everything else was most of the stuff I've already seen at Disneyland, but it was still nostalgic and cute. Definitely worth for kids of all ages to visit.
