What to do after suffering a loss

What to do after suffering a loss

If you recently had a miscarriage, you're probably feeling sad, scared, alone & lost.

It is ok to be sad, but my hope is to give you information so you feel less scared,

support so that you don't feel alone, and resources to help you feel less lost.

First & foremost, I'm so sorry for your loss. I have been there multiple times. I understand you and my heart is with you.

Please know that you don't have to feel alone.

Finding people who have been through similar situations & creating a support system is the most important thing you can do for yourself.

Be your own advocate! Ask all the questions & don't stop asking until you're satisfied with the answers.

If you suffer from recurrent miscarriages:

Ask to be referred to a Reproductive Endocrinologist. This is the ONLY doctor who specializes in getting & keeping you pregnant!

Ask to be tested for blood clotting disorders, genetics, and have your AMH levels tested.

Read the book, "It Starts With The Egg" it is extremely informative & could help you find answers or give you insight to things you haven't thought of.

Make sure you're taking the right supplements for YOU. You might have deficiencies that need to be addressed. Have your RE help you figure it out and the book mentioned above has a chapter on supplements.

Research Coq10 & DHEA & talk to your RE to see if taking them could benefit you.

Acupuncture can help balance your hormones so that you feel like yourself again & it could be especially beneficial when trying to conceive if you're based in L.A. I go to @iheal_wellnessclinic

When you're ready, create a game plan. Knowing what steps you need to take to try again will give you goals to look forward to & give you a since of control.

Don't worry about things that haven't happened yet. Miscarriage can be traumatizing. You'll need to take things day by day to get through it all.

Most importantly, although I am sorry you have experienced this, I want to encourage you.

You are going to overcome this. One way or another, this will pass and one day you will be in a better place (whatever that means for you).

Sending love & light as always!
