7 Steps to help you relax & release anxiety

Our environment has a direct impact on our senses.

If you are having a hard time relaxing these are things to take into consideration that can help soothe your senses.

I recommend setting a time to unplug (maybe take a warm shower or bath) and follow the next steps to help you relax.

Body Language:

Release the tension from your body by doing a good stretch, relaxing your shoulders, jaw & tongue.

Temperature:

Make sure your body is warm & cozy. If you are cold your body will clench up & be tense.

Lighting:

If you're really trying to create a relaxing ambiance use candles, but always be aware that your lighting is appropriate for the time of day.

-If it's day time, surround yourself with nice natural lighting.

-If it's night time, surround yourself with warm soft lighting.

Sound:

Be mindful of the music you listen to.

-Try listening to soothing meditation sounds if you're feeling anxious.

-If you want to take it a step forward, look into sound therapy.

-Personally, I like ASMR because I have a hard time meditating in complete silence. ASMR helps me guide my thoughts instead of completely blocking them.

Scent:

Research essential oils that you like. Lavender & tea tree can be very refreshing.

Think spa vibes.

Visualization:

Close your eyes & imagine that everything you dream of has come true. Allow yourself to experience what that feels like.

Create an imagine of yourself that makes you content to see.

Breathing:

Manage your breathing.

I highly recommend looking into the Wim Hof Method.

His technique has been proven to have effective physiological benefits.

Many people suffer from anxiety for various reasons.

I want you to know that it is possible to manage it & overtime minimize it.

My goal is to give you tools to help you feel capable to overcome any challenge while validating your individual process.

There are many other things that can help reduce stress & manage anxiety, but this post was focused on the senses.

Sending love & light
